Hello! I’m Shihui and I’m an illustrator currently studying at the University of Edinburgh. Born and raised in Hong Kong, my inspiration comes from the city’s mixed Eastern and Western cultures, as well as my desire to be close and connected to nature as an escape from the fast-paced city lifestyle. I enjoy capturing the mundane and quiet moments of daily lives, and my interest lies in interior illustrations, concept art as well as background painting. My work often has strong ties to my personal stories and struggles with health, with recurring themes of nature, environments and wellbeing. Just as I find it comforting and healing in creating art, I hope to bring comfort to and resonate with others through my illustrations as well.
